Log Your Time!!

One of the conditions our club (and all shooting clubs in Canada) will have to meet is that we must keep records of our member's participation in any shooting activity (plinking, site-in, practicing, matches, etc.) and, only if requested, report this information to the chief firearms officer.

The only way we can comply with this requirement is if you are willing to take the effort to advise us of your shooting activities.

Why would you want to?

We will only release records for a given member if specifically requested by the CFO. If we have no records to release what would happen? If the CFO sees no shooting activity on your part, as evidenced by your lack of recorded attendance at the range, you will likely be deemed a collector,

not a shooter.

The CFO office has advised that a person is either a shooter or a collector. A shooter needs an authorization to transport (ATT). A collector does not. Further, a shooter needs to buy ammunition. Does a collector?
